Turkmenistan discusses issues of adaptation to climate change


A series of trainings on adaptation to climate change has been launched in Turkmenistan.
They are held within the framework of the project "Development of the national adaptation planning process in Turkmenistan", which is implemented by the UN Development Program jointly with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan.
They are also organized in partnership with the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea with the participation of representatives of relevant ministries and departments, the Ashgabat City Hall, the Turkmensuvylymtaslama Research and Design Institute, the Dashoguzsuvhojalyk Production Association and the Caspian Sea Institute.
At the first seminar, the participants discussed the conditions for the formation, use and protection of water resources in the context of climate change at the global, regional and national levels, discussed the impact of climate change on water resources.
