Turkmenistan and Armenia discussed cooperation in the field of seismic risk assessment


Issues of expanding scientific and technical cooperation were discussed during the meeting of the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia Muhametgeldy Ayazov with the Director of the Institute of Geophysics and Engineering Seismology named after A. Nazarov of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia John Karapetyan. This is reported on the page of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Armenia on Instagram.
In this regard, the parties touched upon the implementation of the Agreement between the governments of the two countries on cooperation of the Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan with the Institute of Geophysics and Engineering Seismology named after A. Nazarov of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. In particular, the work in the field of assessment and creation of maps of seismic risks was noted.
At the end of the meeting, the Turkmen diplomat conveyed to John Karapetyan an invitation from Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov to take part in the opening ceremony of the city of state significance Arkadag.
