The Turkmen diplomatic mission spoke about peace efforts in the region during the 10th CA—EU meeting


Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Batyr Rejepov took part in the 10th annual meeting on security policy between the European Union and Central Asian countries, which was held in Astana, the Turkmen Embassy in Kazakhstan reports.
During the negotiations between representatives of the EU and Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, the parties confirmed their readiness to intensify cooperation in solving problems related to water resources, climate change, in the field of interconnectedness, guided by the agreements reached on the sidelines of the recent EU—CA summit.
Also during the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the fight against drug trafficking and the border regime. In this context, it was reported that the European Union is ready to improve the effectiveness of partnership in these areas.
It was stressed that regular contacts contribute to the development of interregional cooperation on common challenges of security, economy, education, science and innovation.
