The forthcoming joint projects and events were discussed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Director of the UNESCO Cluster Office in Tehran, UNESCO representative in Turkmenistan and Iran Golda El Khoury, who is visiting Ashgabat. In particular, they paid attention to the issues of holding an international forum in the Turkmen capital next year dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country's accession to UNESCO.
At the meeting held on Monday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the prospects for cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN specialized agency for education, science and culture, which includes attractions in the World Heritage List, were also considered in a broader context.
