The UNESCO list includes three objects of cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan

Ak-kalpak, the Kok-boru game and the World Nomad Games – three more objects of cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan have joined the UNESCO list. The certificate awarding ceremony took place on Friday at the Historical Museum in Bishkek. The general director of the organization Audre Azule arrived in the Kyrgyz capital to participate in the celebrations, Kabar reports.
The Ak-kalpak national headdress carries a deep meaning – it symbolizes mountains and purity. In addition, it is very practical and you can wear it at any time of the year. The craftsmanship of the product was inherited from the ancestors and passed on to subsequent generations.

The traditional game of Kok-boru has also received an international status. Since ancient times, it has been included in the military training of Kyrgyz youths. They taught how to attack, how to retreat, raised morale. Now it's more entertainment and preservation of identity.
The pride of Kyrgyzstan is the World Nomad Games. The first time they were held in 2014 and gathered almost 600 participants from 19 countries. Currently, 47 types of national sports are competing in the games. There is no gradation of places, there is only one absolute winner. The games were held three times in the republic, then passed the baton to other countries.

"Such a legacy must be preserved. This is the main goal of our organization, so that the national culture is not lost and forgotten, but passed on to the next generation," Audre Azule said at the ceremony.
Several historical sites of Kyrgyzstan are also included in the UNESCO list.
