Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan will take part in the UN Anti- Terrorism Week


Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Vepa Khadzhiev will visit the UN Headquarters in New York to participate in the events of the High-Level Counter- Terrorism Week, which will be held next week, on June 19-20. This is reported by the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN on its web page.
The 3rd Conference of the Heads of Counter-Terrorism Agencies of the UN Member States, to be held on June 19-20, will be dedicated to the theme "Combating terrorism through enhanced multilateralism and institutional cooperation."
The Conference will provide a platform for Member States, UN agencies, international and regional organizations, civil society organizations and the private sector to exchange information, experiences and best practices, and consider opportunities for enhancing cooperation on key counter-terrorism priority areas within the four pillars of the Global United Nations counter-terrorism strategy.
The conference will be an important stage for the preparation of the New Agenda for Peace, proposed by the Secretary General of the Organization.
The participation of the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in the upcoming high-level events underlines the country's strong commitment to combating terrorism and ensuring regional and global security.
During the visit, Khadzhiev will attend the plenary session of the conference and side events to share Turkmenistan's experience in countering terrorism and exchange views with other national delegation leaders, he will also hold bilateral meetings with UN officials and international partners to strengthen partnerships and explore ways to expand cooperation.
