Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has died in Milan at the age of 86, Italian media reported on Monday.

In recent years, the politician's health has deteriorated. He underwent heart surgery and was sick with COVID-19. In April, the press reported that the former Prime Minister of Italy has leukemia.

Silvio Berlusconi headed the Italian government four times in different periods: 1994-1995, 2001-2006, 2008-2011 and 2013-2016. In total, he served as Prime Minister of Italy for almost 10 years.

According to Forbes, Berlusconi was the richest man in Italy — his fortune in 2006 was estimated at 9 billion US dollars.
