Trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Russia in 2022 amounted to $1.6 billion — Russian Ambassador
The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Russia in 2022 reached $1.6 billion. Thus, Russia is among the three most significant trading partners of Turkmenistan. At the same time, there are great prospects for increasing bilateral cooperation.
This was written by the ambassador of the Russian diplomatic mission in the country Ivan Volynkin in his article dedicated to the Day of Russia and published in the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".
The Ambassador stressed the special importance of cooperation between the two friendly countries in the field of cultural and humanitarian partnership. In this context, it was noted that currently 71 schools are functioning in Turkmenistan, in which teaching is conducted in Russian.
Volynkin also added that the relations between Russia and Turkmenistan are one of the most important components of the multifaceted cooperation of the Russian Federation with Central Asia to maintain lasting peace and stability for all countries of the region.
