Turkmen specialists have completed the WHO course on the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases


Specialists of sanitary and epidemiological stations of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, phthisiologists from all over the country have completed a series of trainings on the prevention, treatment and control of tuberculosis.
The course familiarized the participants with the best methods of controlling the spread of tuberculosis, including administrative, engineering and technical measures, effective measures to protect the respiratory organs, the specifics of the organization of treatment and patient care. At the end of the course, an anti-tuberculosis infection control plan was developed.
The training series is organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in cooperation with the Country Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan (MHMIT).
