The Chinese company Huawei Technologies Co, which is one of the largest in the telecommunications sector, has introduced the latest version of its own cloud database GaussDB, China daily reports.

This was another breakthrough for the Shenzhen-based company. Its latest development is an organized set of information that can be sorted and updated.

GaussDB is a fully automated database management platform. Huawei Cloud CEO Zhang Ping'an said that work on its development began back in 2001. Now it is used in the company's internal IT systems.

Postal Savings Bank of China and China Merchants Bank have successfully implemented GaussDB into the main systems of their operations.

"Many Asian banks are already testing and using GaussDB, and customers in South America are also showing interest," Zhang added.
