Erdogan's inauguration ceremony to be held in Ankara on June 3

The inauguration ceremony of Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the promulgation of the
cabinet of ministers will be held on Saturday, June 3 at the presidential complex in
Ankara. Dozens of heads of foreign states and governments, official delegations
and distinguished guests from more than 70 countries, as well as representatives of
international organizations will take part in the celebrations, Anadolu agency
reports citing Fahrettin Altun, head of the Turkish presidential administration's

Recep Tayyip Erdogan - the only candidate from the "Republican Alliance" led by the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Parti) was re-elected President of Turkey. According to the final results of the second round of the presidential elections, he won over 52% of the votes. His rival, the only candidate from the opposition People's Alliance, Kemal Kılıçdaroglu, won 47.82% of the vote.

The President will take an oath in Parliament and visit the Ataturk Mausoleum (Anytkabir). This will be followed by an inauguration ceremony attended by foreign leaders. Erdogan is expected to promulgate the new composition of the cabinet.

Also on May 3, deputies of the new convocation of parliament will take the oath.
