The Minister of Trade of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister of Georgia outlined steps to increase trade


Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan, Begench Gochmollayev, met on Monday in Tbilisi with Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili.
According to the Administration of the Government of Georgia, at the meeting the parties focused on the existing potential in terms of foreign trade and discussed what steps should be taken to increase bilateral trade.

They highlighted the "important partnership" between Georgia and Turkmenistan in the energy sector. “Cooperation in the field of tourism was also among the issues discussed. Readiness was expressed for the further growth of bilateral tourist flows.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the financial and economic departments of the two countries and the ambassadors of Turkmenistan to Georgia and Georgia to Turkmenistan.
On June 5-6, Tbilisi hosts a meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission for Economic Cooperation.
