Turkmen university entered the Times Higher Education world ranking

The International University for the Humanities and Development was included in the final ranking of The Impact Rankings 2023, compiled by the prestigious educational organization Times Higher Education (THE).
The ranking is a global performance table in which higher education institutions are evaluated in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As representatives of the university told an ORIENT correspondent, the International University for the Humanities and Development took part in the implementation of the SDGs listed below:
• Goal 4 - Quality education;
• Goal 5 - Gender equality;
• Goal 15 - Conservation of terrestrial ecosystems;
• Goal 17 - Partnership to achieve the goals.
The results of this ranking are calculated using performance criteria in order to ensure a comprehensive and balanced comparison, which underpins the four main areas of work of universities: teaching, research, management and advocacy.
This rating has been held annually since 2018 and has already gained sufficient popularity. It reflects the impact of universities on society based on the success of educational institutions in achieving the UN SDGs.
The Impact Rankings are dynamic in structure, growing every year as more universities seek to demonstrate their commitment to achieving the SDGs.
Inclusion in the Times Higher Education (THE) annual university rankings database allows higher education institutions to demonstrate rapid qualitative improvement in their activities, introducing new management methods and providing clearer and more open data of their progress.
The final list of The Impact Rankings 2023 included 1591 higher education institutions from 112 countries. The overall ranking was topped by the Australian University of Western Sydney for the second year in a row. The UK's University of Manchester came in second, while Queen's University of Canada rounded out the top three.
