Representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan participated in the celebration of the anniversary of Magtymguly in Iran


Deputy Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan Nursahet Shirimov and Secretary of the country's National Commission for UNESCO Chinar Rustemova together with cultural figures of the Iranian province of Golestan took part in the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the poet Makhtumkuli, the Tehran Times reports.
They visited the village of Ak-Tukai in Golestan province in northern Iran — the burial place of the great Turkmen poet-philosopher Magtymguly Pyragy, who left a huge contribution to the history of literature.
The Deputy Head of the Turkmen Ministry of Culture noted that such events will contribute to strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation with Iran, thanking the residents of the province for the hospitality and honor given to the Turkmen poet.
It was reported that in the near future the works of Magtymguly Pyragy in Persian will be published in 4 volumes. The project is being prepared by Iranian translators.
