The international logistics and trading company TT Meridian has called for an increase in cargo flights of Turkmenistan Airlines between the UK and Vietnam, Air Cargo Week reports.

"We believe that the fast connection time in Turkmenistan as a transit point between the UK and Vietnam, as well as competitive air transportation will support freight forwarders, shippers and consignees in this difficult economic time," the company's representatives said.

TT Meridian also expressed hope for an increase in the frequency of such flights. The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) takes a similar position.

The organization believes that flights by Turkmen airlines will help in many ways to satisfy the request for export-import operations between companies in the UK and Vietnam.
