Ashgabat to host bowling competitions among foreigners
The Bowling Federation of Turkmenistan invites representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in the country, as well as foreign companies to take part in the team bowling tournament "Foreign Liga 2020". The championship will be held on January 26 in the Olympic town of Ashgabat. Each team should have five people. The competition will be held in three games, during which the finalists applying for the champion cup will be determined. According to the organizers, there are already teams that have expressed a desire to take part in a tournament held to popularize bowling in Turkmenistan. But it should be noted that even on ordinary days, foreigners are frequent visitors to bowling lounges. The organization of such tournaments in this sport has already become a kind of tradition. Earlier, the “Business Pin 2019” was held among entrepreneurs, a competition of popular Turkmen enterprises. In the future, it is also planned to attract famous artists and singers of the country. According to representatives of the federation, thanks to such competitions, the number of people playing bowling has increased. “I always look at capable guys, I try to support them,” said the chairman of the Federation Batyr Khangeldiev. Professional bowlers are also seeing a busy schedule. Ahead is the championship of Ashgabat, the championship of Turkmenistan, as well as the Asian Championship in Hong Kong, the World Cup in Kuwait.
