Turkmen kickboxers won nine medals — one gold, two silver and six bronze — at the World Cup that ended in Turkey.

Muhammetnazar Gurbannazarov rose to the highest step of the podium in the weight category up to 60 kg. Eziz Meredov (up to 51 kg) and Islam Rahmetov (up to 71 kg) were awarded silver medals.

Atajan Atamuradov (up to 54 kg), Omargeldi Nurgeldyyev (up to 57 kg), Toylymurat Yegele6ev (up to 79 kg), Serdar Mammedov, Hajymyrat Geldimammedov (both up to 86 kg) and Gulzada Jorakuliyeva (up to 65 kg) won bronze medals.

The Turkmen delegation was represented at the competitions in Turkey by 15 people, including 14 athletes.

More than three thousand athletes from 35 countries of the world took part in the competition. The tournament was organized by the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO).
