The first educational campus in the CIS will be opened in Almaty on the basis of the universities of Kazakhstan and Russia


Two universities of the Russian Federation - the Mendeleev Russian University of Chemical Technology, together with the Taraz Regional University named after Dulati, are opening a network educational campus in Almaty, where they will train specialists for the chemical industry. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

The educational program of the universities of Russia and Kazakhstan guarantees graduates a double diploma and employment. In addition, the campus will be the first international educational project in the CIS aimed at training qualified specialists for the chemical industry in Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region.

The project will allow launching the first two-diploma educational program "Technology of Inorganic Substances", the main focus of which will be the production of fertilizers. The first enrollment for the program starts in the summer. As noted in the message of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, it will be possible to enroll in the first year, and students from other universities in Kazakhstan who wish to continue their studies on campus will have the opportunity to transfer to the second and third years of the program.

"We support and develop various formats of interaction between Russian universities and universities of the CIS countries, including network educational formats and double degree programs. The participation of industrial partners interested in highly qualified personnel in this work is of paramount importance," the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation said in a statement.
