Turkmenistan to celebrate 75th anniversary of Universal Declaration of Human Rights


The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) for Central Asia conducted a training aimed at expanding the knowledge of Turkmen youth in the field of human rights.
It was attended by young ambassadors of the SDGs, graduates of the Preventive Diplomacy Academy of the UNRCCA, as well as students of higher educational institutions of the country. They expanded their knowledge of the concept of human rights, familiarized themselves with international approaches to ensuring equal and inalienable rights.
The seminar was organized in preparation for the event "Turkmenistan-Ashgabat Model UN", which is planned to be held in autumn in partnership with other relevant international organizations. The event will be timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was adopted at the third session of the UN General Assembly by resolution of December 10, 1948.
