New Ambassador of Cyprus to Turkmenistan officially takes office


On Monday, Chairman of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova received credentials from the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Turkmenistan, Kypros Yorgallis (with residence in Moscow).
On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Speaker of the Parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and wished him success in his responsible mission.
The head of the Mejlis and the ambassador exchanged views on issues of interaction, development of interstate dialogue on a bilateral and multilateral basis.
Kypros Yorgallis got acquainted with the activities of the Turkmen Parliament, its work on legislative support for reforms in various fields, and the exchange of experience in lawmaking. In this regard, a separate topic of discussion was the possibility of expanding the inter-parliamentary dialogue, including within the framework of international parliamentary structures.
Yorgallis replaced Ambassador of Cyprus to Turkmenistan Andreas Zinonos, who took office in January 2020.
