Parliamentary delegation of Georgia held talks in the Mejlis and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan


The parliamentary delegation of Georgia headed by Chairman of the Georgian- Turkmen Friendship Group David Matikashvili is in Ashgabat on a working visit.
On Monday, the delegation was received at the Mejlis, where a meeting was held with the speaker of the Turkmen parliament, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, and also at the country's Foreign Ministry, where a conversation was held with Deputy Foreign Minister Myakhri Byashimova.
According to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, the parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects for cooperation between Turkmenistan and Georgia. The importance of continuing the practice of organizing contacts between the leaders of the two countries on a bilateral basis and multilateral platforms was stated.
The importance for the further development of bilateral cooperation of the existing mechanisms of interaction, such as the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission for Economic Cooperation, was emphasized.
