An expert council on culture will be created at the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly


Members of the Permanent Commission of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sports voted for the creation of the Expert Council on Culture at the IPA CIS at the next meeting in the Tauride Palace in St. Petersburg.
The parliamentarians were also informed about the work on the draft model law "On electronic communications in the environment of digital media resources".
In addition, the members of the commission got acquainted with the draft model document on television and radio broadcasting, which is aimed at increasing the socio-cultural significance of television.
"Television is not just a media, but a factor in the formation of human capital," said Elena Lvova, associate Professor of the Department of Socio-Cultural Technologies at the St. Petersburg State Institute of Culture.
During the meeting, proposals were made to plan special events for translators of scientific and legal literature, as well as to organize a film dictation in Russian for students of Commonwealth universities.
