The heads of the Ministries of Health of the Central Asian countries discussed cooperation in the field of medicine


Minister of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan Atageldy Germanov took part in a meeting with colleagues from Central Asia, with whom he discussed cooperation in the medical field, including the implementation of the relevant Roadmap until 2025.
The meeting was held in Geneva, at the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN Office. The Regional Director for Europe of the World Health Organization also took part in it, the Turkmen diplomatic mission in Switzerland reports.
Representatives of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan voiced the country's position in the field of public health protection: it was stated that Ashgabat strives to ensure equal access to medical care. For this purpose, a modern network of medical institutions is being created and qualified personnel are being trained.

During his visit to Geneva, Atageldy Germanov also had a conversation with WHO Director General Tedros Adhan Ghebreysus. The Turkmen Minister invited the head of the organization to take part in the 3rd ministerial Conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Ashgabat Declaration, which will be held in April 2024 in the capital of the country.
