Turkmen cardiologists take part in the international Congress "Baku Days of the Heart"
The Turkmen delegation takes part in the VIII International Congress "Baku Days of the Heart", which opened in Baku on May 20. The congress discusses the latest scientific developments in the field of cardiology and cardiac surgery.
The organizer of the event, which brought together about 400 doctors from more than 20 countries, is the Azerbaijan Society of Cardiovascular Surgery, Azertac reports.
On the eve of May 19, a round table on the topic "The future of cardiovascular surgery in the Turkic world" was held within the framework of the event with the participation of specialists from Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
On May 20-21, discussions are held on medical achievements in cardiology, the most pressing issues on the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, which occupy the first place among diseases leading to death. According to the World Health Organization, 18 million people die from cardiovascular diseases every year in the world.
