Turkmen karatekas won 14 medals in the international tournament in Turkey

14 medals of various classes were won by Turkmen karatekas in the international Cup of Bosporus (33th WKF KARATE International Bosphorus Сup), held in Istanbul. 8-year-old Vadim Rudsky, 10-year old Yhlas Annakurbanov, performing in the discipline «kata», and also Rovshen Atayev (under 35 kg), Ogulgerek Kichenova (under 53 kg) - in the category «kumite» became owners of gold awards. The "silver" medal in the same discipline – went to Gurbannazar Amandurdyev (under 30 kg) and Suleiman Kurbanov (under 35 kg). Allanur Yalkabov (under 30 kg), Arslan Atdaev (under 35 kg) and Selim Myratdurdyev (under 60 kg), who received bronze awards, also could distinguish themselves. Four bronze medals were secured by the Turkmen national team in team competitions in kumite both among adult athletes and cadets. Thus, the national team of Turkmenistan has occupied third overall team place after the host of the tournament - Turkey and the team of Azerbaijan. In total in the Cup of Bosporus in karate over thousand sportsmen from 26 countries of the world took part. As informed by the Karate-Do Federation of Turkmenistan, one team of sportsmen has gone to Baku for training sessions and also for participation in another international tournament. Other national team will go to the capital of Chile - Santiago for the Premier League Karate Series A and (Karate 1 Series A - Santiago 2020) which starts on January 10. Karatekas from Turkmenistan traditionally worthily represent the country at competitions of international level. More recently, in December, 2019 they returned with 13 medals from the championship of Central Asia, which was held in the city of Aktau (Kazakhstan).
