Turkmen and Georgian scientists discussed prospects of cooperation in Tbilisi


Cooperation between the Magtymguly National Institute of Language, Literature and Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Korneli Kekelidze Georgian National Center for Manuscripts was discussed in Tbilisi on Thursday by representatives of the Turkmen delegation and the Georgian side, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
The Georgian Manuscript Center became a platform for negotiations. Here Turkmen scientists got acquainted with the ancient manuscripts, ancient collections and historical documents published in Arabic, Persian and Turkish languages and of value stored in the archives of the Institute.
The issues of further cooperation between scientists and experts of the Institutes of Manuscripts of Turkmenistan and Georgia were discussed with the Director of the Center Zaza Abashidze. It was noted that the establishment of direct contacts between specialists of the two countries, the deepening of scientific cooperation, the holding of joint events at the international level will contribute to the strengthening of cultural and humanitarian ties between the Turkmen and Georgian peoples.
