Turkmen folklore group is the best at the international festival in Azerbaijan
Folklore collective from Turkmenistan "Lachin" became the best group that performed at the international music festival "Harybulbul" in the Azerbaijani city of Shusha. The official Turkmen press writes about this today.
The Turkmen folk dances "Kushtdepdi" and "Bilezik" performed by the group in combination with the traditional outfits of the artists impressed the competition jury. "Lachin" also performed a joint number with collectives from other countries — Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan.
The singers Ovezgeldi Amanov, Bahargul Ezizova, Maysagul Eminova distinguished themselves by the skill demonstrated on stage, having been awarded honorary diplomas of the festival.
It should be noted that the Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Maysagul Eminova is the artistic director of the folklore group "Lachin". She performed Turkmen folk songs Köne güzer, Ogulbeg, Maral geldi. In turn, at the closing of the event, Mansur Sharipov performed the composition Gel Turkmenistana.
The international Music Festival "Harybulbul" was held from May 9 to 11 with the support of the Geydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan. The rich program of the festival included concerts, exhibitions, film screenings, as well as various presentations.
The city of Shusha was declared the cultural capital of the Turkic world by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) in 2023.
