Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Xi Jinping discussed holding the Year of Culture of Turkmenistan in China
The Year of Culture of Turkmenistan in China will be held next year, 2024. Along with other events, it will also include the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen thinker and poet Magtymguly Pyragy. These agreements, reached during the state visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to China in January this year, were again in the spotlight at the talks of the two heads of state in Xi'an.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, in addition to such key areas as fuel, energy and transport and communication.
They also noted the expanding cooperation in the field of healthcare, including in the field of traditional Chinese medicine and innovative technologies. The sports sphere was also not left without attention.
On May 19, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov will take part in the China-Central Asia Summit.
