A global conference on sustainable tourism was held in Turkey

The Global Sustainable Tourism Conference (GSTC 2023) was held in Antalya, Turkey, the Embassy of Turkey in Turkmenistan reports.

The event gathered 300 delegates from over 40 countries. Among the guests are representatives of the public and private sectors, hoteliers, tour operators, scientific intelligentsia and participants in the promotion of sustainable tourism and trips.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy noted that the forum will become a valuable platform for the exchange of information and ideas on improving the field of travel around the world.

The extensive program of the conference included interactive workshops, seminars and exhibitions. Among the most important topics raised for discussion is the impact of vacationers on the environment.

"We see the organization and development of new tourist centers as one of the solutions to the problem," said Luigi Cabrini, President of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, speaking at the conference.
