Minsk and Ashgabat intend to intensify contacts in the field of sports and tourism
The participation of the national team of Turkmenistan in the II Games of the CIS countries, which will be hosted by Belarus in August 2023, was discussed at the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus. On the initiative of the Belarusian side, there was held a meeting here between Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Minsk Nazarguly Shagulyev and Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Kovalchuk.
During the meeting, a thorough exchange of views took place on the prospects for the development of Turkmen-Belarusian relations in the field of sports and tourism, as well as on the possibilities of increasing cooperation in a multilateral format in these areas. This was reported to ORIENT by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus.
Sergei Kovalchuk and Nazarguly Shagulyev spoke in favor of intensifying contacts between Turkmenistan and Belarus in the sports field, and also agreed to give new impetus to the dialogue in the field of tourism, the diplomatic mission added.
