The first place and the title of laureate were awarded at the II All-Russian open competition of young Pianists "Stages of Mastery" by a student Aynur Otuzova and teacher Jeyhun Babayev. They became winners in the category "Teacher-student", presenting the composition of Sergei Rachmaninoff "Piano Concerto No. 1 part 1".

The best musicians from the CIS countries and Russian regions participated in the music competition held in Kazan from April 28 to May 5 in a remote format. The Turkmen musicians were just a little short of the "Grand Prix" award (10 points) - they scored 9.5 points, taking the first step of the podium and proving once again that Turkmenistan today has one of the strongest performing schools in the post-Soviet space.

Aynur is a pupil of the specialized music school at the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory, which is better known as the RMSH or "chamomile". She has been studying with teacher Jeyhun Babayev for 10 years and, as they say, received a professional cut from a master of her craft. He is also a graduate of the "chamomile", as well as the conservatory. Jeyhun studied with such famous representatives of the Turkmen piano school as Alexander Starikov – Honored Artist of Turkmenistan, Professor of the Kazan Conservatory and Vladimir Mkrtumov – Honored Artist of Turkmenistan.

After receiving a TNC diploma, Jeyhun Babayev returned to his native school as a teacher and has been working with young pianists for more than 16 years, many of whom are laureates of international and national competitions.

For example, for 16-year-old Aynur Otuzova, this is the sixth victory in a prestigious music competition. She received her first award at the age of 14 and since then has been performing on the same stage with the best Turkmen musicians, performing the most difficult works for her age.

As Jeyhun Babayev said in an interview with Orient, success does not fall from the sky no matter how talented you are. Victory and glory are the tip of a huge iceberg, and in the shadow there are many hours of daily classes, patience and a relentless desire to work from year to year. And this is the only way to become a musician, and in our case a pianist, and contribute to the best traditions of the Turkmen performing school.
