Elon Musk to step down as CEO of Twitter

American entrepreneur Elon Musk will leave the post of CEO of the Twitter microblogging service. He announced this on his social network account.
Musk did not name the reason for his resignation and the name of the new CEO. It is known that Musk's place in the company will be taken by a woman.
"She will take up her duties within about six weeks," the businessman wrote, adding that he himself will become executive chairman and technical director of Twitter. So, he will exercise control over the software and system administration.
Elon Musk closed the deal to buy Twitter for $44 billion last fall. After heading the company, he began to change the policy of the social network — for example, he fired most of the employees and launched a monetization program. Due to these measures, Musk tried to reduce the costs of the business, for which, according to him, he overpaid.
