Google has unveiled its first folding phone Pixel Fold
At the annual conference for developers in California, USA, Google Corporation presented its first folding smartphone Pixel Fold. This is reported by the company's blog.
Unfolded, it is the thinnest smartphone of the corporation and the thinnest folding phone on the market. According to Google, in order to achieve maximum subtlety and match the new design, many Pixel components have been redesigned.
The gadget, created on the basis of the Google Tensor G2 processor, is equipped with a main 48-megapixel camera. The device also contains two additional cameras of 10.8 megapixels each, one of which zooms the image five times.
When closed, a device with a 7.6-inch screen has the familiar look of a smartphone, and when open, it becomes like a tablet.
The smartphone is already available for pre-order. Its initial price will be $1,799. The device will be released from June this year with 12 GB of RAM and two physical storage options — 256 and 512 GB. The operating system of the smart gadget is Android 14.
