Turkmenistan and Tajikistan have agreed to develop trade and economic cooperation


During the talks between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the head of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in an expanded format, agreements were reached on taking measures to further develop trade and economic cooperation, according to the website of the leader of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The parties paid special attention to such areas of cooperation as the energy sector, industrial cooperation, agriculture, transport and communications.
The delegations noted that there are great opportunities for the implementation of joint projects in light industry, the production of building materials and metallurgy, as well as providing production enterprises with the necessary raw materials.
The sides also paid attention to strengthening ties in the fields of culture, science and education, sports and tourism.
