President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Tajikistan on a state visit
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Tajikistan on a state visit, Embassy of Turkmenistan in Dushanbe reports.
Visit was preceded by the previously organized Turkmen-Tajik business Forum in Dushanbe, as well as a number of other events.
At the Dushanbe International Airport, the head of Turkmenistan was met by Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda and a number of other officials.
The visit provides for high-level negotiations at which the parties will consider a wide range of issues. As a result of the meetings, several new documents on cooperation are expected to be signed.
Today, the interaction of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan is a strategic factor for the development of the economies of the countries of the region. The Turkmenistan—China gas pipeline passes through the territory of Tajikistan, which plays an important role in the development of transport and energy infrastructure in Central Asia.
