Turkmen Consul in Astrakhan laid flowers at the "Eternal Flame of Glory"
The Consul of Turkmenistan in the Russian city of Astrakhan Nury Gollyyev took part in the ceremony of laying flowers to the "Eternal Flame of Glory", which is located in the Fraternal Garden, the Turkmen consulate reports.
"We must remember our past and know our common history. On the occasion of the holiday, I wish all residents of the Astrakhan region a clear sky and a cozy family hearth!", — said Gollyyev.
He also noted the common contribution of the peoples of the Soviet Union to the Great Victory. Thus, 104 Turkmen were awarded the title of Heroes of the Soviet Union, 15 became full holders of the Order of Glory and more than 130 thousand people received various orders and medals.
The flower-laying ceremony was also attended by the diplomatic missions of Iran, Kazakhstan, representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the leadership of the Astrakhan region.
