Turkmen diplomats in Astrakhan got acquainted with the local shipbuilding industry
The Consul of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan Nury Gollyyev met with the head of the Board of Directors of the United Shipbuilding Corporation Georgy Poltavchenko, who informed the diplomat about the laying of the first container ship 00108, the Turkmen consulate reports.
The container ship project 00108 is the project of the first Russian universal vessel capable of transporting both refrigerated containers and containers of international standard.
The meeting with Poltavchenko was also attended by the heads of local diplomatic missions of Iran and Kazakhstan. He presented the shipbuilding capabilities of the region, and also discussed cross-border partnership with diplomats.
Representatives of the Russian corporation also discussed with the consuls of the three countries the potential of Caspian cooperation and the intensification of transportation along the North–South corridor.
