Public organizations of Turkmenistan are mastering the foreign experience of waste management


Representatives of public organizations and UNDP in Turkmenistan took part in a training program in the field of waste management in the USA.
The program was launched as part of a Special American SABIT Business Internship Program by the U.S. Department of Commerce. It involves advanced training of specialists from Eurasia in the field of waste management.
Delegates from Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine got acquainted with the current management system in the United States, in particular, they visited waste recycling complexes, sorting stations, as well as waste recycling points. The theoretical part of the program was devoted to classes on the topics of regulatory procedures, legislation, standards, certification in the field of waste management.
As part of the trip, they took part in the exhibition "WasteExpo 2023", which was held from May 1 to May 4 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
It should be noted that almost 7000 managers and researchers from Eurasia and other regions have already been successfully trained under the SABIT program.
