Bulgaria is interested in a project to transport "green" energy from the Azerbaijani part of the Caspian Sea through the Black Sea to Europe, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.

Bulgaria's interest in the green corridor project was voiced during a meeting between Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and his Belgian counterpart Tinne van der Straeten.

The corridor also unites Georgia, Romania and Hungary. The sides stressed the importance of improving the routes of the Southern Gas Corridor, which will allow the Caspian gas to be transported to Europe and the "Solidarity Rings".
