The ministerial meeting of OPEC+ countries scheduled for June 4 will be held in a face-to-face format, TASS reports.
The previous ministerial meeting was held in December 2022 via videoconference.
In October 2022, the OPEC+ countries at a face-to-face meeting in Vienna agreed to reduce production by 2 million barrels per day (b/d) from November, and also extended the deal until the end of 2023. Quotas under the OPEC+ deal as of August 2022 have been adopted as the basis for counting the reduction in oil production.
At the meeting held on April 3, the OPEC+ monitoring committee confirmed its commitment to the agreements reached at the meeting in October 2022.
