Islamic theologians propose the creation of a Secretariat of the Eurasian Ulema
At the International Forum of Muslim scientists of Eurasia, which took place in Astana, the creation of a Secretariat of the Eurasian Ulema was proposed. Thirty experts of the religious doctrine, sent to the Prophet Muhammad by Almighty, discussed the modern issues the Islamic science facing with in the capital of Kazakhstan. It was noted at the forum that modern Muslim science faces the task of exposing extremist trends guided by ideas that have nothing in common with the philosophical basis and morality of Islam as well as of treating from these and other phenomenon such as dogmatism and radicalism. In addition, Ulema Muslims – authoritative and recognized experts in Islam, should play the main role in this process. The forum participants, representing more than two dozen states of the European and Central Asian regions, agreed that it is necessary to develop a concept for spiritual revival of scientifically based Islam in the Eurasian space. Moreover, the establishment of a Secretariat of the Eurasian Ulema Forum, which will become the working body for the development of the above-mentioned concept and model for the unification of the Ummah was proposed. In the opinion of the Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan Serikbay kazhy Oraz, the Muslim Ummah today should be united by one goal – to withstand global challenges. In addition, the accumulated tangle of problems should be resolved through an open dialogue based on the values of the religion of peace and good. Turkmenistan has accumulated a rich and effective experience of interaction between the state and religious confessions, based on the principles of separation of the state and religion, as well as of freedom of conscience of citizens. The policy implemented by the Turkmen authorities is aimed at creating partnerships between the state and religious confessions, which is approved and supported by the population of the country.
