The Pushkin State Russian Drama Theater in Ashgabat will show the audience the play "Women of the 41st", the premiere of which will be timed to the Victory Day. The play is based on the work of the Tatar writer Zaki Zainullin "Arbaly Hatynnar", the theater told ORIENT.

Earlier, the performance in the Turkmen version was shown at the drama theater named after Alp-Arslan. The Russian-language production of the famous theatrical action promises the audience a heartbreaking story about six women experiencing a bitter separation from their husbands who went to the front.

The events unfold in a Tatar village, near the Raevka station. Heroic fortitude in the face of war reforges ordinary girls into strong women.

The young director Bagtyyar Abayev worked on the performance itself, who had long planned to embody the female "share" in the war on the stage of the theater. The idea came to Kazan, where he happened to take part in a symbolic event — already experienced actors introduced novice theatergoers to their roles so that they would replace them in the near future, the director said in an interview with ORIENT.

The directors faced a difficult task: to reinterpret the difficult plot of the story so that it still resonated strongly in the hearts of the audience. The foreign Russian experience and the previously delivered Turkmen version from Handurdy and Arslan Berdyev in 2018 helped to cope with this.

The work being prepared for the premiere, as the director said, is absolutely author's: Professionals of the Pushkin Theater in Ashgabat worked on both the production and the script. And not in vain: many guests of the trial show were moved by what they saw on stage.

The premiere of the play will take place on May 7 at 19:00. Tickets are already on sale. They can be purchased at the box office of the theater.
