Apple, together with Google, is developing a new security standard that will help in the fight against surveillance of people using AirTag trackers. This is stated on the official Apple website.

The new security standard, which will be developed by the end of this year, will be applied to devices such as AirTag, Galaxy SmartTag, etc. The initiative has already been supported by Samsung, Tile, Chipolo, Uefi Security and Pebble blue. It is planned that the standard will be integrated into iOS and Android.

It should be noted that now iPhone smartphones notify about the presence of other people's AirTag trackers nearby, and for the Android platform Apple has released a special application that detects AirTag in the user's immediate environment.
