Start of the ITTC-2023 conference: attention to the role of Turkmenistan in connecting Asia and Europe


A two-day conference "International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development — 2023" has started in Ashgabat, aimed at promoting the creation and development of supply routes, integration into global logistics chains, facilitating the transit of goods, infrastructure and scientific and technical support of a key industry for economies and cooperation.
The International Forum also focuses on the crucial role of Turkmenistan in connecting Asia and Europe, North and South, East and West. The event is held by the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan jointly with the ES "Turkmen Forum". Among the delegates are representatives of ministries and relevant departments, numerous companies, diplomatic missions, international organizations and financial institutions, experts and investors.
During the plenary session of the conference, speakers will present their vision of new challenges and opportunities in the development of global trade in the context of a rapidly changing economic situation.
The participants will discuss the role of transport and logistics infrastructure in simplifying and increasing international trade, as well as the dynamics of road and air transport in improving the efficiency of Turkmenistan's transport and transit potential in the context of Eurasian integration.
The plenary session will be addressed by Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers Mammetkhan Chakyev, Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific Armida Salsia Alisjabana, Deputy Executive Secretary of the UNECE Dmitry Maryasin, Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic Tilek Tekebayev and others.
On the first day of the forum, two sessions will be held on transport and logistics interconnection in the modern economy and the latest trends in digitalization in trade and logistics.
