Turkmen customs officers raise awareness in the field of high-risk cargo inspection

Representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan took part in a joint theoretical and practical training on the inspection of high-risk cargo, as well as the use of modern customs control methods. This is reported on the website of the Customs Department of Turkmenistan.
The classes were organized by the Office of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Central Asia together with the World Customs Organization. It was also attended by employees of the Drug Control Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The procedure for the inspection of high-risk goods is provided for by the Customs Convention concerning Containers of 1972.
