Turkey intends to increase the number of quotas provided to students from Turkmenistan. Abdullah Eren, Chairman of the General Directorate for Compatriots Abroad and Related Communities of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, said this in an interview with ORIENT during the TEKNOFEST festival that ended in Istanbul.

"We intend to increase the number of quotas for Turkmen students to 100-150 per year," he said, noting that negotiations have already been held between the relevant departments of the two countries.

This year, about 50 Turkmen citizens will receive scholarships for free study at prestigious universities in Turkey. In the future, this figure will only increase.

Abdullah Eren also stressed the need to intensify activities to raise awareness about quotas and called on his Turkmen colleagues to assist in this matter.

Referring to the relations between Turkmenistan and Turkey in the sphere of culture, tourism and other areas, the expert noted that the partnership between the fraternal peoples is only getting stronger from year to year.
