Turkmen athletes will perform at the World Boxing Championship, which will be held from May 1 to 14 in Tashkent (Uzbekistan). The country will be represented by a delegation of 14 people, including 10 athletes.

As the ORIENT correspondent was told in the Boxing Federation of Turkmenistan, the team included: Ikhlas Gylychdzhanov, Dayanch Annaseidov, Dovlet Mukhanov, Shukur Ovezov, Khursand Imankuliev, Saparmurad Odaev, Bayramdurdy Nurmukhamedov, Mukhammed Babaev, Taganmurad Gurbanov, Baki Toychiev.

Athletes will perform under the guidance of Nurmurad Gurbanmuradov and his assistants Tenilbek Dzhumakulov and Yazmukhammed Yazzyev.

On the eve of the World Cup, the Turkmen team held a training camp in Tashkent, which started on April 18.

The World Championship in the capital of Uzbekistan will bring together 300 athletes from 65 countries who will compete for medals in 13 weight categories. The opening ceremony and draw is on April 30.

The prize fund of the championship is 5,200,000 US dollars. The winners will receive $200,000, the silver medalists will receive $100,000, and the bronze medalists will receive $50,000.
