For the first time, an Arab astronaut from the UAE, Sultan Al-Neyadi, who has already been nicknamed the "Sultan of Space", went into outer space from the module of the International Space Station, Euronews reports.

The release of the first Arab into space in the UAE was called an important milestone in the development of the entire Arab space industry. The 41-year-old astronaut went into space to join his American colleague on the ISS, Steve Bowen.

Sultan Al-Neyadi spent more than 6 months in outer space. The main purpose of the release was to carry out work on the modernization of the module's energy saving system. The astronaut himself docked to the ISS from the SpaceX Falcon 9 spacecraft
