Employees of Russia Today Documentary arrived in Turkmenistan to shoot a documentary film about the Akhal-Teke breed of horses, the newspaper "Turkmenistan" reports.
RT has already filmed episodes at the State Circus of Turkmenistan, where the performance of the national equestrian group "Galkynysh" took place. As part of the event dedicated to the Day of the Turkmen Horse, some of the best performances of the group were shown at the arena.
The equestrians, led by their leader, Rector of the Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding Pygy Bayramdurdyyev, also demonstrated the capabilities of the Ak-han horse, which entered the Guinness Book of Records due to overcoming the longest distance on the rack.
The film will tell about the development of equestrian sports in Turkmenistan and horse breeding in general, as well as about the measures taken by the Turkmen government to popularize this ancient breed.
