The purchase of new modernized and maneuverable equipment allowed to minimize the downtime of oil and gas wells and extended their service life. As a result, since the beginning of the year, 117 wells have been put back into operation across the country, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports.

The overhaul was carried out by the Nebitgazdüýpliabatlaýyş trust of the state concern Türkmennebit within the framework of the program for the development of the fuel and energy sector in the country until 2030.

An important mission — to give a "second life" to already disabled wells — was carried out by repair crews who used Chinese-made lifting rigs with high lifting capacity. This technique was not only able to "revive" the work, but also to increase its productivity.

Experts say that the most common reasons for shutting down wells are a decrease in underground atmospheric pressure during pumping, the formation of traffic jams, deposits of paraffin, sand and other impurities in the pipes.
